Life Lessons - From Mine to Yours

- Don't settle for a bad situation. But don't give up so soon. Always remember that your future is in your hands. Think about your options well. Pray to God for guidance. Then take the leap in full faith.
- Children are not dumb because they are small. They may be small but they understand things more than you think. They are smarter than you think. Talk to your children. Let them understand why something is wrong and right. Don't discipline with the whip. Discipline by appealing to their intelligence and understanding. The lesson learned in this manner remains well learned and remembered.
- When you have kids, don't make eating vegetables a big deal. Serve it, feed it to them, and they'll never think it is such a big deal. Hence, eating vegetables becomes normal.
- Work on love and marriage. I liken marriage to two people on a boat. It takes two people rowing with the same force to steer a boat in one direction. If one rows harder than the other, or if does not row at all, the boat keeps going in circles.
- The Lord is gracious, forgiving, and loves you more than any parent or human being can love you.
- Think like a kid and your kids will have an enjoyable childhood. Enjoy water coloring, shirt painting, Easter Egg hunting, treasure hunting, swimming, parties and games, costumes, Halloween, Santa Claus, Christmas, vacations, driving around, eating ice cream with your kids.
- More to come....
